Michael J. Mills

Michael has raised or advised on over US$1B in his more than 20 years of financial industry experience. With over 15 years in Asia as a marketing specialist in the alternative investment space, he has developed an extensive network of investors, managers, and service providers across the globe. His diverse background has allowed him to work with a wide array of alternative products – including Private Debt, Private Equity, Real Estate, Venture Capital and Hedge Funds – as well as specialty products and individual companies.

His career in financial services began at Ameritrade in 1999. After rising to a manager, he joined UBS in New York in 2002, eventually moving to Japan to become UBS' first Capital Introduction Specialist in Asia. In 2007 he was recruited by Citi to move to Hong Kong as their Head of Capital Introduction for Asia. In 2009, he became Head of Investor Relations for OCP Asia. After a stint at RV Capital Management in Singapore, he returned to Hong Kong in 2016 as Managing Director and Head of Asia for The New Amsterdam Group, a global consultant and placement agent. He was then recruited by Value Partners, one of Asia's largest and oldest asset managers, as both the Head of their Alternative Products and Institutional Sales for North America.

He graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and subsequently achieved a Masters of Business Administration from University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters of International Management in Finance from Thunderbird AGSIM. After graduating from university, he became a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Nigeria focusing on health information.

Eddie Pegoraro

Eddie has over 20 years of experience in legal, corporate and international taxation; capital and transaction structuring; transaction execution; business strategy, and funds management in Australia and internationally.

Eddie commenced his career as a lawyer with Allens Linklaters in Melbourne, before moving into tax consulting roles at KPMG and EY in Melbourne and London. In 2004, Eddie shifted focus by joining the Structured Finance team at ABN AMRO in an origination and execution capacity, working in London, Amsterdam, and Sydney.

After completing an MBA in 2010, Eddie joined J.P. Morgan Investor Services where he gained experience in funds administration and custody before moving into legal, compliance and strategy roles at Ascalon Capital Managers, a hedge fund incubator owned by Westpac.

Eddie holds Bachelor degrees in Law (Honours), Arts, and Commerce from the University of Melbourne, and an MBA from Macquarie University. Eddie is currently licensed to practice law in New South Wales.
